Recently, the spread of Islamic Da’wah  in Hsinchu has been very notable since the beginning of ICT’s Qur’an Class for Kids was held in HIC (Hsinchu Islamic Center). This Qur’an Class program is an initial move to fulfill their mission which is purely to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by following the guidelines given by Allah in Quran and his Messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in daily life and creating a pious and peaceful society.

ICT (Islamic Circle of Taiwan), As a class organizer, was inaugurated in August 8^th, 2020 by Ministry of Interior Taiwan. ICT is a non-profit organization which established to manage the Islamic Cultural Center in Hsinchu City and other parts of Taiwan by providing Islamic religious education to children and adults i.e., learning and study the Qur’an, hadith, sunnah and more.

The establishment of a Masjid and Islamic Cultural Center in Hsinchu has become a top priority for ICT due to the increasing Muslim community in Hsinchu, Which now accounts for 11.000 inhabitants. Despite the fact that Hsinchu has a greater Muslim population, there is still no suitable location for prayer and gathering. From this point, ICT developed the Qur’an Class for Kids as the first phase to meet their objective to establish an organized Muslim Community into a disciplined community (Ummah). A so called INTERNATIONAL QUR’AN CLASS FOR KIDS began on January 16,2021, the class continues every Saturday at 10.00-12.00 AM Taiwan time (GMT +8) on the 5^th floor of HIC.

With a strong vision to take the leading in changing the individual and society and developing the individual as a God-oriented and Akhirah-conscious person, ICT facilitate various programs and activities for the kids and youth in Hsinchu Muslim Community. To engage youth awareness for Islamic knowledge, ICT initiate and develop effective programs such as History of Islam class, of course in a relaxing and cheerful atmosphere. Also, in order to provide a fun learning atmosphere for the kids, not only those who want to learn are welcome  in this class, but those who are too young to learn is also warmly welcomed in this class, so that they can play and enjoy the company of other kids.

ICT has succeeded in providing adequate learning facilities. Not only is the classroom equipped with a whiteboard, table, and seating. The children were also helped by professional and competent teachers that can communicate in several languages according to the needs of the children, including Indonesian, Mandarin, English, Urdu and most importantly Arabic.

In order to support the event in engaging da’wah activities and community development projects running smoothly, ICT encouraged all of the Qur’an Class member to not neglecting the health protocol by wearing masks, keeping distance and washing hands.
